Connect, Educate and Promote
This is an open letter to the Fairfield County professional community. I have issued similar communique to some of the local dot-com powerhouses. I hope you will all aid me in directing this to the appropriate parties.
I am a web architect by trade, a startup and tech enthusiast at heart, and also a recent transplant to Connecticut.
Due to several factors, including but not limited to gross absence of local technology entrepreneurship from any media coverage, I simply was not aware that there was any semblance of community, nor that there were any web-tech companies in the area for my first 6 months here. It took some effort, but I did discover several things:
However, there is still yet much to be done in order to do for Fairfield County what has happened for technology in New York City, Boston and Chicago as of late. Fostering such community would be absolutely beneficial all around in regards to job creation, talent recruitment and general press and media coverage.
I invite you to join in the community development
If you have any other suggestions or comments, any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Comment by Brian Casel on November 9, 2011 at 8:28am Sounds great. I'm also new to the area (1 year)... I've been on the lookout the lookout for a coworking space in the Norwalk or Stamford area so I'm looking forward to hearing more about the "Innovation Center".

Comment by Rick Terrill on January 29, 2012 at 6:18pm I just moved from Kansas City (a Silicon Prairie city with a young but bustling tech scene). I work from home, but I need a good co-working space to get out amongst the other wetware. I'll try to make it out to The Grove, but I'd love to find something closer to my home in Weston.
